Some people just want to quickly relive their childhood memories, or others like me who've played ff1-6 but never got around to ff7 just want to spend some down time between work assignments playing a good game, but play it on fast because my breaks are short. But there are a lot of people out there who are have real jobs, real families, real friends, real lives (not implying that you don't, but for some people it's not an option to spend 100 hrs away from these things). Sure, we were kids there was plenty of time to finish games 100% and kids still do these days. I paid for the original PC release, original PSX release and the Steam release and I feel like I've definitely gotten my moneys worth. I don't know about you, but the more hours of fun I get out of a game the more value I feel like I've gotten for my money. It is a big game, but surely that's a good thing.
